Penny Stock Slang
Here are few terms you may here said by other traders, and/ or newsletters/ websites (let us know if there is a term not listed that you are having trouble deciphering and we’ll post it)
Momo Play: short for momentum play.
Pumper: Usually person touting a stock they own on message boards and chat rooms, usually compensated for their efforts.
PPS: Price per share.
Basher: Someone who visits internet message boards and posts disparaging remarks about a security in order to cause a fall in share price. AKA, a shorter. Opposite of a pumper.
DD: short for Due Diligence, which is: 1. An investigation or audit of a potential investment. Due diligence serves to confirm all material facts in regards to a sale.
2. Generally, due diligence refers to the care a reasonable person should take before entering into an agreement or a transaction with another party
Sub Penny: a stock priced below 1 cent a share
