Does ESPH have the answer to BP’s expensive problem?

Ecosphere Technologies (OTC BB: ESPH) has had a great day on the market, over 1,000 trades and up .14 cents.   This is largely due to their technology being presented as a possible solution to cleaning up the oil spill.

Their technology non-chemical Ecosphere Ozonix water treatment system (more information on the technology can be found here: http://www.ecospheretech.com/technologies/ecosphere-ozonix-water-treatment-process), is being proposed to Mid-Gulf Recovery Services, and seems to be the front runner.  Not only is their technology strong, but they also have some pretty famous investors/ supporters, Jean-Michel Cousteau, world-renowned environmentalist and President of Ocean Futures Society; and two former NFL Quarterbacks Drew Bledsoe and Troy Aikman.

Yesterday, Aikman was on Fox News talking about the technology: http://video.foxnews.com/v/4233027

Glen Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Mid-Gulf Recovery Services, said of Ecosphere’s technology, “We did extensive research to find the most proven technology on the market working every day to help in this oil spill disaster. The Ecosphere Ozonix equipment is by far the most field proven non-chemical high volume water treatment technology on the market. There is no other equipment available that combines its non-chemical technology with its mobility and large volume capability. Mid-Gulf’s expertise is responding to natural disasters and this is the right equipment for this unfortunate disaster we are dealing with in the Gulf states. We have the right equipment, the right people to do the job, and are ready to deploy as soon as we get the go ahead and we’re working on that now.”

Look for ESPH’s momentum to continue well into the weekend.

I’ve read several pieces like yours touting Ecosphere (symbol ESPH), as the possible answer to all our prayers in the Gulf of Mexico. How do you quantify that, meaning is ESPH to be a $40.00 a share stock, or a $100.00 a share stock? It’s $1.65 dollars a share right now. Is it a no brainer big time buy?

I’ve never said that ESPH was a $40 or $100 stock and wouldn’t. I was simply reporting why the stock has been so liquid. Now do I think its a good trade at this point? Yes, but, never fall in love with a story on the OTC and never bet the farm.
I hope this answers your questions, and thanks for reading the blog!
